CALL FOR POLICY CONSULTANT | Sustainable Health in Procurement Project (Indonesia)

The Sustainable Health in Health Procurement Project (SHIPP) is a project of HCWH and UNDP that aligns health care with Sustainable Development Goals particularly SDG 12: Sustainable Production and Consumption and SDG 13: Climate Action. The project aims to introduce and support initiatives of the health sector related to sustainable procurement globally.

SHiPP’s key objectives are to:

  1. Develop universally applicable criteria and standards for sustainable manufacturing, distribution and content of products procured by the health sector;
  2. Strengthen capacity for sustainable procurement in the health sector;
  3. Strengthen capacity for sustainable production, supply and disposal of health care products; and
  4. Strengthen the understanding and application of appropriate indicators and monitoring and evaluation processes that help promote accountability for sustainable procurement in the health sector.

Indonesia is among the two countries in Southeast Asia where the project is being implemented, a component of which includes policy analysis and advocacy.
