GGHH | Sustainability Movement at Yishun Health Singapore

In line with the recently launched Singapore’s 2018 Year of Climate Action, Yishun Health launched its own Sustainability Movement on 29 Jan 2018.

Organized by the Sustainability Committee, the CEO of Yishun Health and KTPH together with the Chair of Sustainability Committee presented our sustainability framework and commitment to be an environmentally-friendly hospital for our patients, staff and visitors.

All our key vendors and partners present renewed their commitment to work with Yishun Health on this sustainability journey through a simple pledge ceremony.  There were also fringe green activities and booths to educate staff on how to care for our environment.

A healthy Meatless Monday lunch featuring plant produces from our hospital rooftop garden was served to guests and staff, who gamely brought their own reusable lunchboxes and utensils for the lunch.

We also invited government and community agencies to conduct lunch-time talks to our staff on topics such as food waste management and how to inculcate a Bring-your-own habit in our daily office life.
